I got out for a jog in the afternoon heat today, and as I went by the corner of Chester Forest and Stillforest I looked up at the
Red-shouldered Hawk nest I knew was there. There were 3 nestlings and 1 adult all standing up in the nest. 30 minutes later when I was done jogging I got my camera and walked back there. At that time only 2 nestlings were visible and I got this photo. I'm glad to see this nest was successful again this summer. It has been used by 2 of our resident Red-shouldered Hawks for several years, and it's high enough for the hawks to be unconcerned with people walking around below them.
