Just a quick note today. I spent just 2 hours on Lake Creek Trail this morning starting at the Parmer Village end. In the marsh by the Parmer Lane bridge I was excited to briefly see the
Virginia Rail and
Marsh Wren again. There were also lots of sparrows, and I got this photo of one of the
Swamp Sparrows. I ended up finding 48 species. The most interesting (besides the rail) was a
Crested Caracara that flew right over me while I was by the marsh. I was happy to see the sun when I got back to my car.
