Black Rabbit

I spent about 3 hours birding the floodplain property this morning, but I don't have time for a full blog entry right now. So I just wanted to share this picture of a black domestic rabbit I encountered. I have seen it once before near here and I assume it is someone's escaped pet. This morning it came right up to me, circled my feet several times, an sniffed my ankles!
